Daniel Barenboim came back to the Teatro Colón, Buenos Aires, in August, 19th 2000, to celebrate his 50 years on stage with a solo-recital as in his first appearance as a 7-years-old boy
Argentina has not forgotten him, this son of the city, leading conductor and pianist, and indefatigable campaigner for international understanding through the spirit of music. On the night of 19 August 2000, they came en masse, like pilgrims, to the time-honoured Teatro Colón just to listen to him.
